February 2010

Its been a very busy last quater including a hugley sucessful exhibition at Alma Road Surgery in Romsey. I am currently working hard on some new peices incorporating more texture and some textile work for my  spring/summer 2010 collection. I am really enjoying the experementation phase at the moment; I have spent quite a lot of time over the last few months working with inks and looking at generating greater depth to colour, particularly to produce the sparkling effect of ocean. I will be exhibiting at Alma Road again from 1st - 30th June and am currently at the planning stage with several other exhibitions this summer so watch this space!

January 2009

Here is a quick update as we go into 2009.

Having worked for the past few years on pieces based around surf culture i am noticing a change in the concept behind my paintings. Currently i am working on two pieces; 'Trumpets' - a visual representation of the Trumpet Lily detailing the changes as the lily begins to open and 'Red Berlin' a detailed close up single red rose. With my focus shifted to a more botanical feel i am looking at creating a collection of paintings based around photographs taken at Hillier Gardens in Romsey, Hampshire. I feel certainly as we move towards the spring that these paintings will take on a more classical feel and will perhaps look at experimentation, adding some texture and a fresh, crisp finish somewhat similar to that of the 'Three Tulips' from December 2008.

I will be exhibiting at several Photographic shows in 2009 and will post dates and locations as they are available.

I will also be working in partnership with several websites, this will make an online purchase option available for thoes of you wishing to pre-created buy one off pieces.

I will update again soon
